Description

TONY JACKLIN GOLF CLUB | Casablanca, Marruecos | 2012

In 2012, ATB Architecture won the design competition for the creation of a golf club near the Casablanca International Airport in Morocco. The plot, located on old army grounds near the Bouskoura forest is dominated by unevenness, hence the architect was inspired by its gentle curvature to create the geometry of a 3.500m2 clubhouse in which a reception room, a panoramic lounge overlooking the golf course and a series of communal areas were incorporated. The design took full advantage of the light and undulating terrain to create a building whose form is defined by extreme curvatures. The common areas are covered in white marble, and inside, wood was used to give a warmer feel. The building is characterized by large windows that allow a panoramic view of the entire golf course.
